LAWRENCEVILLE - The Lawrenceville City Pool is set for another Memorial Day opening. City officials said the pools will open at noon on Memorial Day and be open until 6 p.m. Admission for the season will be $1 for all ages with children 2-years-old and younger free. Pool hours for the summer will be noon until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-6 p.m. on Sundays. As in the past, there will be a variety of special swims and events. Lap swimming will be available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. until noon for both men and women. Swimming lessons will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays during July. A child can receive the eight-lesson session for $50. Pool parties may be scheduled for any day of the week. City officials said the cost of a pool party is $50 per hour, however, if there will be more than 50 attendees, the cost is $75 per hour due to the extra lifeguard that will be required. This year's pool manager is Dana Frederick. Assistance manager is Katie Schnuck. The telephone number to the Lawrenceville City Pool is 943-6066.
