Eagle Scout
Brad Copp, Lawrenceville, earned the rank of Eagle Scout during a ceremony Sunday afternoon. Lawrence County’s newest Eagle Scout receives the award from his mother, Mary Copp, who pinned the medal on her son, as his father Carl Copp looked on. The Eagle Scout award is the highest ranked award in the Boy Scouts program. It began in 1911 and has been earned by more than two million Boy Scouts. The title of Eagle Scout is held for life. Copp had to earn at least 21 merit badges and demonstrate Scout spirit through the Boy Scout oath of law, service and leadership.
