|Vincennes man dies in Crawford County accident|
| ROBINSON - Crawford County Coroner Earl Deckard is searching for family or friends of a Vincennes man who died Thursday afternoon.|
Lester Emory Lyles, 65, Vincennes, Ind., was traveling west on County Road 100N, about a half mile west of Illinois Route 1, at around 1:10 p.m., when he apparently suffered a medical emergency, ran off the road and crashed into a small creek.
A local resident found the vehicle with Lyles inside unresponsive. Emergency personnel were called to the scene and he was transported to Crawford Memorial Hospital by United Life Care Ambulance Service, where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
An autopsy is scheduled for later today to determine the exact cause of death.
Deckard said an attempt to locate family members was unsuccessful yesterday. Vincennes Police went to his home, but made no contact.
Lyles is reported to have girlfriend, but she has not been located.
Lyles reportedly has horses in the southern part of Crawford County, and may have been going to check on them at the time of the accident.
Anyone with information about Lyles or his family are encouraged to contact the coroner through the Crawford County Sheriff's office at 618-546-1515.
