Man with local ties killed on U.S. 41
PRINCETON, Ind. - An Evansville man, who is formerly of Lawrence County, died Wednesday morning from injuries sustained when he was hit by a car on U.S. Route 41, in Indiana.

Chase Bryan Jarvis, 25, was killed in an accident south of Princeton, according to Gibson County Coroner Barrett Doyle.

Doyle said Jarvis' pickup truck was parked along the southbound lane of the highway. Jarvis apparently walked in front of a Plainville woman's car while she was northbound on U.S. 41, just south of the Richland Creek Drive intersection. It is unclear why he was on the east side of the northbound lane, Doyle added.

Police were dispatched to the scene at 3:51 a.m. where the driver, Erin Liston, reported the accident.

The incident is under investigation, however police said no charged are expected to be filed.

Emmons, Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
