McQueen sentencing hearing rescheduled
LAWRENCEVILLE - For the second time, the sentencing hearing for Tyler R. McQueen has been postponed and rescheduled.

McQueen, 21, convicted of first-degree murder on May 3, was originally scheduled to be sentenced on June 28. About a week before the sentencing date, a sentencing hearing was rescheduled for today, Aug. 23.

Now, officials from the Lawrence County Circuit Clerk's office said the sentencing hearing has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 11.

McQueen was arrested in late March of 2012 and charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the death of Robert V. Westall.

Helen Marie Westall was also arrested at that time and charged with solicitation of murder and solicitation of murder for hire.

Her court-appointed attorney, Brad Vaughn, was granted a change of venue in July. A trial date and location has not been determined.

A status hearing in the Westall case is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in Lawrence County Circuit Court, with Judge Robert Hopkins presiding.
