Lawrence County Arts Council seeks acts for variety show
LAWRENCEVILLE - The Lawrence County Arts Council (LCAC) kicks off its fall family entertainment season with a variety show highlighting our county's showcase of talents, with special guest, award-winning comedian entertainer Larry G. Jones, Celebrity Impersonator, serving as emcee.

The "Two Thumbs Up Variety Show" will be Nov. 23, at the new LHS auditorium. There will be performances at 2 and 7 p.m.

LCAC officials said variety acts are now being sought. Auditions will be coordinated Nov. 9 -16. The show will be for talent from third grade through adult. Acts will be limited to three minutes. Acts will also have opportunities to rehearse on stage with lights and sound two weeks prior to the show.

Local organizers are asking people to "message us through our Facebook page with your interest, or contact any board member of the Arts Council, or call 618-843-4251."

Admission is $5 at the door. There will be no advance ticket sales.
