Unit 20 planning kindergarten registration
LAWRENCEVILLE - Parkside Elementary School officials are making plans for kindergarten registration for Unit 20 students.

Children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2014, are eligible to start kindergarten during the next school year.

School officials said to receive information about how to register and what is required, parents or guardians should complete a yellow information sheet, which is available throughout the community in public places such as grocery stores, post offices, schools etc.

The information sheet should be completed and returned to Parkside by Feb. 3.

School officials said this allows time to plan for the size of classes for the next school year. When records are received, parents will receive a letter letting them know what their child will need to complete registration.

If the child attends pre-kindergarten or early childhood education classes at Parkside in class taught by either Julie Bates, Stacey Powell or Brittney Wolterman, it is not necessary to complete a yellow information sheet. The information is already on file. People will receive a letter in February letting them know what additional information is needed.
