Local Rotary Gala to benefit surgery center, Wig Bank
LAWRENCEVILLE - The Lawrence County Rotary Club is having its Rotary Gala March 8 at the Vincennes University Green Activity Center.

This year the event will benefit the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital Surgery Center and Lawrence County Cancer Resource Center.

Lawrence County Memorial Hospital is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to providing quality health care to the citizens of Lawrence and surrounding counties. The new, state of the art, surgery center will play a vital role in the continued success of the hospital.

The Lawrence County Cancer Resource Center is focused on serving the needs of cancer patients in Lawrence County.  From providing wigs to helping with transportation to/from treatment, this local non-profit is making life easier for cancer patients in our community.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. with the silent auction concluding at 8 p.m.

There will be a live auction beginning at 8:30 p.m. with the evening concluding at 10 p.m.

Organizers said the event calls for semi-formal attire with tickets $100 per couple.
