Lawrenceville High School Drama Club to present two one-act plays
LAWRENCEVILLE - The Lawrenceville High School Drama Club will present "An Evening of One-Act Plays" with performances at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 in a coffeehouse setting in the new Lawrenceville High School cafeteria.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students and will be sold at the door.

I'Mpressed coffee of Vincennes will provide a cash espresso bar serving their coffee drinks and desserts.

The One-Act plays to be presented are "Cheating Death" and "The Diary of Adam and Eve." School officials said plays are comedies and are suitable for audiences of all ages.

"Cheating Death" takes place in a group therapy session when Death comes to collect someone but because of an ambiguously gendered name, has trouble finding the correct man/woman.

Death's sanity is questioned and patience is tested as she tries to make her quota.

"The Diary of Adam and Eve" is based on Mark Twain's tongue-in-cheek short story by the same title. It highlights the "battle of the sexes" as it reveals the differences in how the first man and woman perceive their new surroundings as they tentatively begin to learn how to get along with one another.

For more information, or for special group seating, contact Lawrenceville High School Drama Club co-sponsors Robin LeGrand (rlegrand@cusd20.net) or Katie Kiser (kkiser@cusd20.net) at the high school at 943-3389.
