County seeking election judges
LAWRENCEVILLE - It's not too early to begin finding election judges for the November election.

In accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, the Lawrence County Clerk's office is in the process of preparing a roster of election judges for all local elections spanning the next two years.

Election judges work at polling locations on election day to help oversee the voting process and offer general assistance as necessary in compliance with election law.

Lawrence County Clerk Will C. Gibson has indicated that due in part to several existing election judges having stepped down, the county is experiencing a significant shortfall. The clerk has asked that anyone who might be interested in serving as a judge to call his office at (618) 943-2346 and ask to speak with him or his election deputy, Amy Rand.
