PJHS 8th grade downs Olney
OLNEY - Parkview Junior High School's eighth grade basketball team opened the season with a 30-28 win over host Olney in the Olney Round-Robin Invitational Thursday.
Bryce Winningham topped the Braves with 18 points in the victory. Jared Walker added six points and Jacob Williams four. Chase Shick and Oliver Large both made free throws.
The Braves will conclude the tournament with two games on Saturday. PJHS will play Newton at 10 a.m. and Flora at 1:30 p.m.
Parkview will open the regular season Tuesday with a game at Hutsonville.
