Youth baseball teams to have ceremonies Saturday
While the Lawrence County Little League season doesn't officially begin until Monday, opening day will be celebrated in both Lawrenceville and Bridgeport with ceremonies Saturday morning.

Parades to the ballparks will highlight both ceremonies, which will take place on the diamond in Lawrenceville City Park and at Brandon Smith Field in Bridgeport's Lanterman Park.

The ceremony in Lawrenceville will culminate with local resident Bob Fielden, a longtime contributor on the youth baseball scene, throwing out the first pitch.
