Little Illini Conference girls basketball tourname
Lady Indians, Lady Salukis win to stay alive
Lawrence County's girls high school basketball teams both produced easy home court wins on Monday to stay alive in the consolation bracket of the Little Illini Conference Tournament.

While sixth-seeded Lawrenceville was disposing of visiting Cumberland, 57-32, host ninth-seeded Red Hill was in the process of a 46-26 dismantling of 10th-seeded Edwards County.

The Lawrence County teams will take part in consolation semifinal games Wednesday as the tournament returns to Flora.

The Lady Salukis (4-7) will face fifth-seeded Palestine in the 6 p.m. opening game, while the Lady Indians (7-9) will tangle with seventh-seeded Casey in the 7:30 p.m. consolation semifinal.

If either team wins on Wednesday it would return at 5 p.m. Thursday to play for the consolation championship on the final day of the tournament. The third-place game is set for 6:30 p.m., while the championship tilt will tip off at 8.
