VINCENNES - Red Hill High School's baseball team salvaged a split of a doubleheader Saturday, posting a 9-5 win over host South Knox after dropping the first game, 10-8.

CARMI - Lawrenceville High School's baseball tam dropped a pair of games Saturday in a round-robin tournament hosted by Carmi.
LHS places 2nd in own tourney
LAWRENCEVILLE - Lawrenceville High School's softball team had its chances against visiting Olney in the championship game of the LHS Invitational Saturday, but a lack of timely hitting by the Indians resulted in the Tigers traveling home with the trophy.
Red Hill girls run to title in own invitational
BRIDGEPORT - Red Hill High School's girls track and field team claimed the championship in its own invitational meet Thursday, while the boys squad came through with a strong second-place finish.

The Salukis placed first in a combined 12 events, including seven by the girls team.

Lawrenceville High School's teams also participated and finished fourth in the boys meet and fifth in the girls meet.

CLAY CITY - Thomas Mahrenholz pitched six strong innings Tuesday, and Lawrenceville High School's baseball team used a four-run fifth inning to pull away to an 8-2 win over homestanding Clay City.

The win was the third in a row for the Indians, who upped their record to 3-1.
