Two from Unit 10 retiring after 34 years of teaching
BRIDGEPORT - In 1984, Diana Schnuck and Amy Baker started their teaching careers with Unit 10 schools. At the end of classes on Thursday, after 34 years of service, the duo will walk out of Bridgeport Grade School for the final time, at least as full-time educators.

Local nursing facility hit with $25,000 fine
SPRINGFIELD - A Lawrenceville nursing home has been fined $25,000 for infractions that occurred in 2017, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
